BRITISH ISLES #19 -- IRELAND
From our last day in Ireland, Dublin City Center. Crazy busy city, way too many people. We rode the city tour bus to get a feel for the place, then wandered through Temple Bar and on to the National Archaeological Museum, which was pretty cool.

BRITISH ISLES #18 -- IRELAND
Yesterday we toured the Burren , a unique landscape near Doolin Ireland on the Wild Atlantic coast. The stark geology is intriguing. The area was first inhabited by humans about 6000 years ago and there are hundreds of historic stone structures including dozens of Iron Age stone forts. Wildflowers proliferate in the crevices between the limestone formations.

BRITISH ISLES 17 -- IRELAND
More pics from the Dingle Peninsula area. Then we drove to the tiny village of Doolin in County Clare, another mecca of traditional Irish music. Today we hiked the Cliffs of Moher & tonight we're visiting a gentleman who is nationally revered as a master of Irish music; he hosts get togethers in his home which is just down the road from our B&B.

We are now on the Iveragh Peninsula in southwest IRELAND. One night in Kenmare where we visited an ancient stone circle, then down the southern coast to Portmagee on the very tip. More spectacular scenery + visited a stone fort & abbey ruins. We stopped at the Skellig Chocolate Factory & enjoyed a tasting demonstration.
